I never received help
I tried MULTIPLE times to contact Lorex about how the cameras we purchased are severely underperforming and not useful for our residential needs. No one from Lorex responded to me at all. I can't even rate the customer service because it doesn't exist. I can't rate something that I never received. I will be sure to advise anyone looking for residential cameras to steer clear of Lorex.
• The app interface of the cameras is pretty bad. We spent all this money on nice 4K cameras and it doesn't show up in the app well.
• The notifications are close to meaningless. Despite renaming the channels, we still receive clunky, programmy alerts like "motion detected channel 3" which is not very useful.
• We've received lots of false notifications. Bugs trip our cameras and lights that we turn on and off in the home give us notifications. When we try to fix the threshold and sensitivity, then only cars seem to give us notifications.
• The video at night is pretty bad. We keep lights on for our home, which is a good security measure, but the cameras do not handle that well. Even if we set different settings for night, the camera only stays in either "day", "night", or "normal" mode which doesn't help.
