Element Case

I bought the 6th generation Black OPS case for my iPhone X as soon as it came out in December 2017. It really looks nice and I got a lot of compliments on it. In two months, it started looking so shabby with paint chips that I took it off and it just sits in it's beautiful box in the drawer. I put on the much cheaper Recon case and it protects the phone and feels better in my hand. I am sorry for buying the Black OPS based on the heavy-duty appearance, but it has fragile paint.

I have had the sector cases for the Iphone 5 & 7 both case's broke at some point & I had to buy parts for the 5 and replaced the entire 7 within 7 months of use I purchased the case before I got my new Iphone 7 therefore it was out of warranty. Nice case but $$$$

Had a previous aluminum Element case that worked faulessly for > 4 years. This case broke in 4 months. Aesthetics are still good, but if case breaks, then the looks don't mean much.

These cases are more plastic then aluminum, it should be the other way around. I got a Black ops case and on the aluminum side rails there is a raised area on both sides of the buttons but the buttons are still taller then the rails so its supper easy to push a button when you dont want to, especially the home button. The whole point of having that rail area raised would be to prevent button pushes on accident but they made the buttons too tall for that so not sure whats the point. Also the buttons are loose and rattle like crazy unless you shim them. A lot of money for a mostly plastic case, Maybe they should start having them made in China so the price matches the quality.

Bought the case for my 12 year old son. Went high dollar as I wanted to protect our investment in his phone. He is not hard on stuff, but things happen. He dropped his phone, and the case protected it. But the clip on one of the sides on the top broke off. So now the top of the case doesn’t clip in, and is useless. Guess we still have 3/4 of the phone protected? I think one of the $15 dollar one piece wrap around cases would have been a better buy. But it looks cool??
