Zhumell 2 inch 2x ED Barlow

I received the Barlow a few days late due to a shipping issue. The Barlow itself was packed securely and appears to be very well crafted. However, I was not able to use it with my telescope. It was too large to fit in my diagonal and I was not able to bring images into focus with my 663mm refractor going straight thru. I had called customer service and returned it. My review is based on the finish only since I was not able to test it.

Eclipse glasses and camera filter

The glasses allowed a higher quality image of the eclipse than the disposable kind, but I could not get a picture at all with my smartphone using the filter; it just looked like a white spot.

AstroMaster 114 EQ Newtonian

I’’m an amateur telescope user, and I found the tripod difficult to use. I also found the Star Pointer Finderscope difficult to use and not very helpful, as it’s “red dot” was almost impossible to see and line up.

Does the job, but has some issues

I have a Celestron 1100 CPC telescope equipped with a Pro HD Wedge. This small gismo does the job, but has some issues. The most important one is that can not work in conjunction with the telescope Hand Control. It is one or the other one. This is annoying especially for the fine tuning using the Direction Keys that are 3D easy to use on the Hand Control, but not so easy to find on a smartphone screen.

Product was fine, but no support

Product arrived on time and as described, ordering process was a blast. Support for additional pieces for the product however was lacking. I contacted them about a recommended case for the scope we bought, we don't have one. Contacted them, in the same email I sent about the case but had to send a second one to get the question answered, about a filter for looking at the sun, we don't have one and won't have any in stock in time for the eclipse. Solar eclipse is Ian august of 2017, contacted them 2 weeks before Father's Day. Sent me the link to the product though so I was able to find elsewhere, but they couldn't tell me if it would even fit the scope I bought so I'm hesitant to spend $80 on something that may not even fit. Would purchase from them again, but have a backup for actual product information. The site had every product spec you could want.....as long as you didn't want to know how long it was to buy a case.
