The equipment seems good, but, as a first timer with a telescope, I find myself more than a little lost. I have so many questions. That is why I have given a higher rating.

The scope was received with the dovetail off the OTA and the focuser flopping around. The screws had come loose or where never tightened and where in the OTA and shipping box. If this was for someone new to astronomy, this would have been a disaster. Our club had purchased this as our first library program scope, to make user proof and donate to a local library. I was able to put everything back together and collimate. But better quality control is needed.

My first telescope, was a little nervous at first but actually not hard to set up.still working on how to sight then adjust and focus, I am waiting on a really clear night with a full moon and lots of stars but storms in the area keep me waiting. Could use some basic 1st time tips in layman's terms but going to keep going til I get it right, been a lifetime dream to have my own scope.

Assembly directions are not to clear. As a beginner is quite frustrating and makes the whole telescope experience a turn off 😢

My daughter & family are so happy to have a telescope. They live on a mountain in Colorado & enjoy it tremendously for many years. It is something I can add to on other gift giving occasions. The customer service with Telescopes Plus exceed my expectations. Patrick & Toby really helped me with dealing with UPS. I will order other products from them.
