Pros: - Easy to setup and use, since it breaks down to two parts - Comes with several upgraded options accessories. Many of the other scopes I looked at, like Orion, you would have to purchase parts separately. - When adjusted correctly the scope is easy to move and will stay in position without falling. The tension knobs work great, this was on thing I was worried about after researching the Orion scopes. - Lens included are adequate to start off with. - Spotter scope works well and it is a plus to have a right angle eyepiece CONS: - So far nothing. After a month we are very happy with the scope. The only thing to keep In mind is with a Dobsonian is when looking at anything at high magnification the object will move quickly through the field of view. But for the money, it can't be beat. You will enjoy it.

This item has been in the Celestron OEM kit for over 35 years for good reason -- it performs better than the price might suggest.

This is a quite good website for telescope finding if you know what you're looking for, but otherwise it is pretty hard. I bought a Zhumell Z8 after lots of reasearch. I would suggest this for the $350 to $400 price range, but the mount needs work, as the finderscope weighs it down and makes it slide away from the target. Also, the finderscope crosshairs do not point to what the telescope sees, so to get an accurate lineup, make sure your object is in the bottom-left corner of the finderscope.

A bit bulky, but it is a very good quality eyepiece. The eyepiece offers a nice sharp, easy on the eyes view of planets and the moon.
