Terrible Online Service
I ordered a smallrig L bracket on the 12th of September online, after patiently waiting over a week when it said 2 days click and collect I rang the online support number to find out what was happening on the 20th of September. I spoke to Erin who after looking into notified me later in the day a store in Melbourne had one in stock. Well now I was starting to get annoyed as why did it take me to ring up to see what was happening to find out it was in stock in another store for someone to actually do there job for an online order. After letting Erin know where I wanted the L bracket sent on Thursday the 21st I was told in an email that it should Arrive at the Marion store by the 25th/26th of September.
Again I patiently waited until Tuesday afternoon the 26th to ring up the Marion store to see if it had arrived. I was told by the store it had not and they preceded to look into where it was. once calling me back I was told it should arrive by the 28th or 29th of September. Now I was starting to get really annoyed for something that was apparently in stock at another store and supposed to be 2 days click and collect. Why is it taking over a week for something to get sent from Melbourne unless it was never in stock and I was being lied to.
I waited until Friday the 29th at lunch time and rang the Marion store to see if it had finally turned up to which I was told no it has not. Now I am getting really upset so I rang the online support number again to see what was happening. I can't remember who I spoke to but the man looked into it and said he could see by the tracking number it had turned up at the Marion store the day before. This brings back memories of when I ordered my Sigma lens from the same store earlier in the year when I had to ring up to find out it had actually turned up the day before and never get notified it was ready for collection. As you can see this is not the first time I have been stuffed around from online orders. The man then rang Marion store to find out where the L bracket actually was. 30 minutes later they found it this time so I was able to pick it up Friday afternoon.
I thought I would support an Australian brick and mortar store with my money than order from Amazon or the likes, but if this is how I am going to get treated every time I order I don't think I will bother anymore with online orders from Ted's Camera's.
