Nice to have a satellite phone.But at what cost? Very Expensive.Must Be A Cheaper Option? With Cellular Coverage Improving Making Sat com Irrelevant

I was advised, by a Bluecosmo rep, before purchasing that I would be able to activate my service (at a fee), at a later date suspend the service and then reinstate the service (without a new activation fee). Upon suspending the service a different rep told me I would have to pay a fee to reinstate. I would have chosen a different plan.

Having "prepaid" accounts that expire seems to be a terrible, predatory business practice. Satelite communications are often a last resort and only needed in a time of emergency. The point of prepaying an account is to have it there when you need it and not worry about it.

The sat phone is still sitting in its box. I would like to use it, but have no idea how to get started. I was able to charge both batteries, I think I signed up for an account, but I still can’t get it to work. I calling in/out, no texting, nothing, I even activated the SIM and placed in the phone. I go outside, get good signal but nothing works.
