I recently tried to change my plan from a monthly renewal of prepaid minutes to the basic 15-minute call/text plan, (online) and the system was not smart enough to discontinue one plan and start the second. I had to contact customer service to sort it out, and this was after being billed for both plans, simultaneously, for the same phone.

Getting a bit expensive so I might have to go with another carrier next cycle

It would be great if we could roll-over unused minutes. We have two satellite phones for our non-profit organization that takes youth and adults backpacking, volunteer stewardship, teen internships, etc (ascendwilderness. org). It's disappointing how expensive it is to keep the phones activated every month, when we hardly use it, if at all! But we need it for safety. We have probably used the phone once per year, if that (which is great since our programs run from April to October), and I will say the service and dependability has been excellent when needed. So that is good. But I wish we could get a better deal for the minutes we don't use, especially as a nonprofit that offers all our trips for free because of socioeconomic and inclusion challenges. Works great but didn’t know how expensive it would be to those who you call. Cost about $60 for a 3 minute conversation with my wife on her phone plan even though I paid for my minutes. Phone works great but was charged an extra $10 off my deposit without reasoning + $60 conversation may have turned me off of using solution in the future.
