Pedal Genie

I really like the service, and it is serving its primary purpose of allowing me to evaluate pedals without having to purchase them. The only drawbacks are a slight limitations in selection and the difficulty associated with getting the high priority pedals I want when I want them.

Signed up to test a few different compressors at once before choosing one. Easy shipping, nicely packed, return labels and fast response time from support. Might have to test some fuzz/distortion pedals next id the ease continues!

I dig the business model. The only time I get bummed is when I receive a pedal I cannot keep.

Fun Reverb, liked it a lot. I will say I'm glad I rented because I don't know if I'd want it as my everyday reverb. It does some really cool haunting reverb but can be overbearing. That said, I'd gladly give it another rental down the line.

I can watch 100 pedal review YouTube videos but being able to try the actual pedal with my guitar and amp is awesome. This is a great way to learn what I truly want for my sound. Turnaround is quick but send and return shipping creates an expected lag time between pedals. That’s the only reason for 1 less star.
