I have been using VI

I have been using VI for about three months now. I love this product. It has helped me tremendously and gives me a reason to go out and do my runs. She keeps track of my fat burning zone and keeps me the target area. My favorite is stepping to the beat. It keeps me in rhythm and helps me maintain a steady pace thru out my run. The only issue i have is that I have the chattiness level on "lead the way", and I feel as if she is not leading the way. I go for a mile without hearing from her. I also use my fitness pal to keep track of my calories and exercise, it would be nice if I could sinc my runs with this app, or maybe if the VI app had a way for me to track my food calories...that would make this the perfect App for me.

Interesting gadget with room for improvement

VI is nice as a running companion, but seems to be targeted at beginner a bit. She has a limited number of tricks up her sleeve, but it is nice to hear her comment on your run from time to time Unfortunately, sometimes she speaks through herself, meaning she tries to say something while she is still talking. Sometimes it is even the same message, that I was doing so well. Ironically, that was at a point I had actually stopped to catch my breath. In general , she does not acknowledge that you slowed to a walk or stopped. Maybe she does not now how to handle that. When I start up again, she then says I have slowed down to my cruising speed. (maybe the takes too big averages of your speed?) What is really missing is guidance. She will ask if I want to do speedplay and explain the idea (i.e. run fast for 20 seconds or so), but not start that section or time it. This I found very weird. And ideally, VI should have training schedules, guiding me through a schedule, maybe with intervals etc As for the app itself, it is very basic with its statistics. Hard to get an overview of your runs, your trends or anything. Completely incomparable with, for instance, Garmin. You can upload to Strava though, so you can get some more Insights from there.

Would have been 4 stars 2 weeks ago but the app stopped working

Hi there Vi team, I got my Vi for some time now and was generally satisfied. On the good side, I got to improve my cadence and find the cheering fun and helpful. However, there are a few issues that hurt my experience: 1) I have a very narrow ear canal in my left ear (due to a problem in my left mandible). I have tried switching between the ear buds . but they keep falling or are too tight and hurt after a long run. 2) playing podcasts or music from my phone keeps pausing if Vi has talked for too long. this is really bothering 3) There is no option to scramble the order of a playlist when playing my own music. This sucks as It makes me create a million different playlist in order to avoid hearing the same songs over and over again, on every run. 4) The app is eating my battery so fast that if I don't fuel the battery to max before the run, it will shut down during the run (on long runs of >1.5 hours). 5) It's nice that you approach the customers for review, but I find it hard to find the options to contact customer service from the app/website. 6) last but not least. the app is *very unstable*. it keeps crushing once every few runs on average and for the last couple of weeks it has stopped working completely and crushes even before I can start the run (it occurred in the past but I managed to work it through by restarting the phone. this time it doesn't work). This means that I have stopped using Vi as a personal trainer and only using it as headphones. :-( I hope you find my review helpful and improve the Vi experience soon.
