Vi headphones

If it wasn't for the fact that I cannot seem to keep them in my ears, I would be certain that I have made a good product choice. Yet, no matter which tips, wings and notch I use, the buds do not seem to like my ears and throughout the run I feel that I am having to constantly adjust, which often triggers Vi (touching the earbud) and whilst that's not such a bad thing, it gets frustrating when repeated frequently. Aesthetically, the headset is an absolute delight, looking and sounding great with easy to use controls and so it's such a shame that the buds don't work out well. The mic, or perhaps it's the voice recognition is a bit hit or miss, at times working without a hitch and then others, bless her as she's very apologetic, Vi does not seem to understand at all - I have wondered if this is maybe external noise interfering or perhaps the app, given the varied success rate. Despite all of this, Vi joins me on most of my runs and definitely seems like a more than able coach to someone of my casual capability and has inspired me enough to achieve more.

Not as smart as advertised

So far Vi is limited to providing only data such as distance, speed, step rate, etc that other running gadgets offer as well. Where is the trainer component of the artificial trainer? I was hoping I would get different workout/routine updates on my phone to do like a trainer would do based on the data acquired from previous runs.

It's taking me time to learn to love Vi

I think I'm pretty savvy when it comes to tech stuff, but Vi has challneged me (and continues to do so). Nothing is quite as straightforward as I thought it would be. I have now used it a number of times and still need to consciously think about the order that I do things to get everything (Vi/gps/music/heart rate) to work together. It's definitely NOT switch on and go. I can see the benefits and it does push me further that I would push myself, but needs to be simpler to use.

A good headphone with some problems

Hi, I am based in Australia and bought Vi to train me for run events. I am impressed with how intuitive it is and quality of headphone is good, however the ‘tap’ system to get heart rate and other commands is not up to scratch and often does not work.
