An Unfortunate End
I attempted to order 3 controllers and, at checkout, was told that only 2 were in stock so I changed my order to 2, expecting that this meant my order would ship in a few business days as my orders have in the past. I was not getting on a pre-order list or anything.
After 10 days of no status updates on my order I emailed support. Then, after 5 more days of no response to my support inquiry, I emailed support again.
After my second email to support they did email be back the following day saying "Over the last few months we have experienced a higher than normal order amount which has increased the shipping times" and "The estimated timeline for this is to ship by Monday".
After another 9 days I emailed support again, now 25 days since my original order, and requested the order just be canceled and refunded. This received no response.
Finally today I received an automated email that my order was on it's way, 34 days after my original order (of an in stock item) and 5 days after my request to cancel the order was ignored.
I expect what happened was the controllers weren't actually in stock and no one wanted to tell me that. Instead I had to wait until they got more stock maybe? I don't really know.
I wasn't the most frequent Castlemania customer but, due to this experience, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future for sure.
