Firstly, these need to be set up into the ear properly, the over and in-ear system comes in 3 sizes and both work fine for me. Long wearing sessions with the in-ear are a little bit uncomfortable.
Once that’s set up, connecting with the 3.5mm will leave the audio a bit flat sounding and mid-heavy. This is largely resolved by using the bluetooth cable which used to come with this set. The audio itself has fantastic resolution and enough volume. The open back design really remind me of the same level of quality I have with my MX4s, which I absolutely adore. The audio still needs some EQ to my taste, whatever app you like best will work. After that, listening to my favorite albums and even streaming sounds simply amazing. It really is an enjoyable experience getting to hear the incredible amount of detail and resolution in the sound outside of my studio. Compared to other high end mainstream headphones, in-ear and over ear, these stand a head above the rest. Overall this isn’t a perfect Audeze product because it does need a bit of attention to the things I mentioned, but I would pay this price for the signature Audeze again.
