For reference I am coming
For reference I am coming from a Corsair Virtuoso Wireless headphone for my computer. Also have Audeze LCD-X for FLAC music, and HifiMan Arya nano's for online music. Both are paired with a Schiit Bifrost + Jotunheim mix.
What I like:
1.) Sound quality is better than the Corsair. They have far better sound stage than the Corsair. Music is not flat, or muddy. Listening to FLAC of Genesis' The Brazilian I can distinctly hear each of the instruments in their own space.
2.) I like that they have actual dials to turn for volume, I am not a fan of the headphones that use various touch to operate. The battery life is stellar, runs circles around the Corsair's.
Neutral:
1.) Weight. They was roughly the same as my Corsair's. But they feel heavier on the head because of the lack of cushion for the headband to avoid the hotspots on the head.
2.) I replaced the ear cups, but that is pretty standard for any headset.
What I don't like:
1.) The headband tends to create a hot spot on the top of my head. For prolonged wear I find myself constantly scooting the headband up and down the top of my head for relief.
2.) The attached microphone is no where near as good as the corsair's. The microphone boom is also limp, I have to constantly adjust it because it falls away from my mouth. You can remove the Mic boom altogether, and folks on teamspeak say I sound better without the boom mic.
3.) That there is only 3 settings for the leather headband attachment.
If Audeze want to make some money, create and sell padded headbands.
