Attempt to Purchase AMDV10818-2TB DVR

This attempt to purchase an AMDV10818-2TB DVR has been a nightmare. I ordered the Unit on 04/20/21 through Sophia P in Sales - Order #110088035; Inv #110088035. I still have not received my unit which was lost/stolen by FedX. I called 4/30/21 at 9:30 AM and spoke with Susan (who I could not understand due to a poor phone connection & got disconnected three times) who attempted to help me. After an hour and a half on the phone, it was determined my order was "declined". Again, after a difficult conversation due to poor phone connections, I re-ordered the unit and paid for standard shipping to receive the unit within 2-5 business days because I needed an urgent delivery schedule. An hour later I get a call back from Susan who proceeds to inform me that my original order had not been declined, but, had shipped and had been delivered to my business address on 04/26/21. I told her no, I had not received the unit at the specified shipping address. She gave me the FedX tracking number (500410479743) and told me to contact FEDX to get a status update. FedX's tracking system stated the package was delivered on 04/26/21 at 3:21PM. However, the system would not give me a copy of the signature print to determine who signed for the delivery. This is my business mind you, with a receptionist who allows door entry to the building to get inside and who signs for all deliveries. Our security cameras show there was no delivery at 3:21PM on that date. I contacted FEDX at 800-463-3339 and spoke with Ren (4/30/21 2:28PM) who told me their records show the package was delivered as per the above and that I signed for the package (M Marshall). I told him no way that happened, I did not sign for a package, the receptionist did not sign for the package and security cameras (front door entry and Lobby area) did not show any FEDX personnel in the building even close to that time line. Ren said they would "investigate" the disputed package delivery claim, gave me a Case #0430625513 and that they would email status reports. Today is 05/04/21 - 5 days later and I haven't received any information from FedX. To date - no package, paid for a DVR and total frustration with Amcrest and FedX. Getting no where and I need the DVR unit NOW to replace a now defunct Q-See DVR that is no longer supported by a defunct company that has closed down operations and their server. New security camera

I’ts been more than a month trying to get a new security system up and running. Before purchasing any equipment, I submitted a detailed drawing to the salesperson to be sure the overall system would work. I purchased a camera and NVR. After having success with in’s camera, I purchased a second. Working with tech support, we have not been able to get cam 2 online as described in the system layout. Did I purchase the wrong $600 system?

Huge Runaround

I'll caveat this review by beginning with "it works now." But it took nearly 4 months and 5 long calls with support. Before Christmas, my Hikvision NVR hard drive crashed. Since I had to replace the unit I looked at other brands. I called Amcrest to research whether or not my Hikvision POE cameras would work with an Amcrest NVR. The answer I was told was yes. I ordered the NVR and when I hooked it up it didn't recognize the cameras. So I called support and they told me my cameras were now too old and I would need to order Amcrest cameras. I ordered one to see if it would work. I hooked it up and it didn't. So I called support again. They ran a series of diagnostics and could not get it to work. They figured the camera must be bad so I returned the camera for a new one. The NEW (second Amcrest camera) didn't work. So I called back again. They couldn't log on to my NVR and told me they couldn't figure it out. I asked to speak with a more senior technician and they said they would call me. I waited 2 weeks and nobody called. I called tech support again and complained. They again had me run the diagnosis and couldn't get it to work. This time that had me upgrade the firmware but it still didn't work. Mysteriously this call dropped no less than 5 times and the connection was so poor I couldn't understand the agent. The call concluded with me asking for a refund. Finally, they scheduled me with a technician who was able to log on to my system and fix it. All these calls, all these weekends over 4 months! Since it works I ordered the other 7 cameras for my system. I have yet to hook them up but I am praying they work so I don't have to go through the incompetent, unintelligible Amcrest service nightmare again.
