Last week, when I wheeled our waste barrel out to the street, that it was a lot less empty than usual. Just one bag of "trash" going to the landfill. It's because our food waste is going into the Mill to create new soil. We are reducing the amount of stuff going to the landfill, the generation of methane at the landfill ... and using less trash bags all at the same time.

This is a great machine and addition to our kitchen. We live on an island and haul our own household garbage—this machine has significantly decreased the amount of garbage (and frequency of trips) we take to the transfer station. It’s easy to use, empty, maintain, and send the dry grounds back in the prepaid box. Glad we got the Mill!

I really have loved using this composter. It's so easy and makes me feel better about not simply throwing my waste in the trash.

This thing is amazing. It removes all of the pain points from home kitchen composting. 1) ABSOLUTELY NO SMELL! 2) Easy to open and put scraps in without wrenching off the top of the 5 gal bucket or using a smaller bin that would always have an odor. 3) Because everything is ground up and dehydrated, the volume of material is reduced making handling the material easier and you can go longer between pickups. I love this thing!

I really didn’t know what to expect but I didn’t think that it be so quiet, attractive and easy to use. I’m only one person but I am shocked ( and somewhat embarrassed) by the amount of food waste I produce. I’m on a fairly tight budget and really shouldn’t be using it but if I wanna make a difference it takes a little pain. The fact that it goes to a farm near me makes the pain better!
