Hanover Deluxe is bigger on the inside than it looks.
I've now had the opportunity to travel on two occasions with my Hanover Deluxe. One trip was in a van with 8 students for 10 days wending our way to various Civil Rights sites in the south. The other trip was by air, TSA and all. I've found my HD to be a great traveling office. There is the convenience of being able to slip it over the handle of my suitcase, the convenience of pockets and places for everything so that when I do need something I can find it easily and the convenience, and comfort factor that my books, etc don't slip and slide around in the interior. Book migration within a backpack can be quite wearying at times.
The Hanover Deluxe is lightweight and well crafted. It is replacing my old leather brief bag for use at work because it's a lot lighter and easy to use (sorry Stanley, you've been a good bag for years.)
My son is starting grad school and his old bag (from 1st-year high school) is just tired and worn out. He has been coveting my Hanover D. so I bought him one (blue) as a gift. He's also a gamer and finds that the computer and all the peripherals and other stuff he uses when he and friends get together to play D&D are easy to find in his Hanover Deluxe.
This bag holds a lot, it may even be a tesseract, it's easy to use and it doesn't weigh you down. If you need a professional looking, useful backpack you won't go wrong with the Hanover Deluxe.
