I will be returning my new Movado watch. The band is difficult to close and it makes it frustrating to wear.

I ordered a Movado watch on July 3rd. Once the watch arrived the band was too small so I started to request additional links for the watch band. I have now spent over 2 weeks with numerous customer service calls and chats in an effort to get these 2 links sent so I could see if I like how the watch wears and looks. I have been told that these links are backordered until July 29th, that they could remove 2 links from a returned watch and finally that I should return the watch since the links will not ship until sometime in early August, beyond the 30 day return window. Now today I was sent an email saying that those links that were coming on July 29th are now not coming until mid-August??? I returned the watch today sinc ethese links were not coming in prior to the end of the return window on August 3rd. i had planned to re-purchase the same watch prior to the sale ending on the 31st of July but now after the email I fear I will face the same issue next month and will not have the ability to try to purchase again since the sale will have ended. It MAKES NO SENSE at all that you do not include additional links with each watch sold online. Do you think everyone has the same wrist size? Since the additional links are free why not just include them with each watch? How much could they cost?? A great deal of headaches for a WATCH!

The gold band arrived covered in stains or discolorations in the gold plating that cannot be wiped or cleaned off. Watch returned. I wouldn’t recommend this poor-value watch company, just seems way over-priced for what you receive. Shame to see what has happened to what once was a reputable brand. Would advise shopping elsewhere.

I was ecstatic when my watch arrived - this is my first experience with a watch that wasn't a cheap department-store watch. It looked fabulous upon unboxing. Classy, elegant, and it appears to keep time very well. However - After only one week of wear, the PVD finish is already showing significant wear. The underside of the band is already worn to the bare metal...I work a desk job and the band is covered by a sleeve 90% of the day. I know that all PVD finishes wear eventually...but I was expecting to get more than a week of wear out of it before needing to have it refinished. This alone is enough to leave me unimpressed. I expected more from Movado.
