Tuffy Products

I would give this a five but I needed to shave 1/8” off the top of the opening on my 2018 Tacoma to get to fit in the opening. Also the instructions show weather strip that was not supplied.

This is my 2nd review. Because Trisha & Tuffy tried to make this right. The 1st time I ordered this, the lid was impossible to fit in the slots and slide in. I had to use a rubber mallet to bang it in. So, they sent a 2nd 1. Come to find out, the bushings that are in the lid are the problem. If ALL 4 bushings have a space to slide into the slots, lucky you. If they’re butted up against each other, SOL. My 1st lid all bushings were butted up against each other. The 2nd 1, 2 of them were fine. The other 2, nope. So, I had to take a flat head screwdriver & a hammer to move them apart. Took HOURS. So, if you order this, CHECK THE LIDS BUSHINGS 1st before pulling everything else out of the box. I’ve got real great photos to describe what I’m explaining but I can’t in this review. So, I’m still not happy because of the work I had to put in that I shouldn’t have. Whoever is putting the bushings in, isn’t checking for that space. They’re just pumping it out. And BTW, this product isn’t worth $550. $300 to $350 at the most.

You should change 3 of the screws to shorter ones to allow the space needed to get wrench on it.

Bought new underseat storage box. When I received it the box had clearly been previously sold / returned & shoddily retaped. Tuffy asks to open box & search for missing parts etc. I wasn’t going to hassle with that! I sent pictures to Tuffy & asked to exchange instead of return my purchase. Although Tuffy has been agreeable through the process it’s disappointing the product was sent in the 1st place!!
