The trailer hitch is awesome!!!!! Towuniverse had the best price!!! BEWARE IF YOU ARE NOT AT LEAST SOMEONE WITH SOME MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE THEN DONT MAKE THIS YOUR FIRST PROJECT. You are about to cut holes into your brand new bumper. The trailer hitch install was more than just bolt on. I put instructions below for a 2025 Honda Odyssey Elite because the provided instructions are not accurate. YOU MUST HAVE A DIE GRINDER OR DREMEL!!! Also would be nice to pick up a trim removal tool kit. It’s $15 from auto zone. Also may need a pair of exhaust pliers. They are about $30. Those aren’t required as a pry bar will get off exhaust brackets. Please do not follow the instructions for the two holes it wants you to cut out. 10” by 6” and a 1” channel…. no way. Follow the instructions for bumper, undercarriage and exhaust removal. I am not sure if all Honda Odysseys are the same but ours had template lines on the bottom side of the bumper. Follow the vertical lines but cut the horizontal about 1/2” before you get to the lift gate sensor. It’s a black cable that runs across the bumper. I removed the liftgate sensor so I could make my cut. It’s two screws so I would do it. It makes cutting the slot easier. Using a die grinder or dremel multitool cut off the two screws on the bottom of the van otherwise the hitch won’t slide in. After the main slot and two random screws have been cut, dry fit the bumper so you can see to cut the slots for the tow anchors. DO NOT cut the driver side under bumper splash guard like the instructions say to do. There is no need. It fits back on perfectly. After the main hole and tow hook slits are cut pop the bumper back on and put in all the clips and screws for the mudguards, driver side lower guard, exhaust guard and boom new hitch!!! The only thing that you can see when the insert is not in are the tow hooks. Everything else is tucked away. The insert is a little confusing at first but keep at it you will get it. I can’t explain help on this other than keep trying. I would say the install took me and my wife and kids about 3 hours to do. I took my time because I teach my kids while I work. Lastly, FEDEX SUCKS and the hitch required some pain touch ups due to shitty handling. Paint touch up’s were for rust prevention and not looks. It’s hidden so no one will see a meh paint job.
