Still Waiting to Hear If Part is Available
This is my first encounter with the auto parts world for a 22-year old car. My mechanic said that Mercedes no longer stocked the part (a tail light assembly), so I was seeking alternative sources. I'm finding that the custom is to accept an order, have the customer pay, use the VIN system to verify the part is the right one for that model car, then "go to the store" to find availability. After a week I am still waiting to hear if Autonation has one available. I'm disappointed to learn that this process is not automated and quick. I'll be back with another review once the availability issue is completed.
