Terrible Service, Terrible Response
I'm the son of the said complainant, and what I've heard from my dad and the response given, the store is ultimately garbage. I work at a retail store myself and don't get me wrong when I say that I come up with white lies when it comes to keeping my job, but seeing it on the other end to this extent is unbelievable. "It was the left over liner from a previous 50’ long roll of liner." is what the owner said in response to my dad wanting a freshly cut one. My dad's complaint was that he wanted a FRESHLY CUT liner, and the employee walked into the back murmuring curses at my father and that is when he spoke up. Upon hearing the store response and the news told by my father, the employee hadn't brought up the fact that my dad heard him spewing bullshit under his tongue. My dad has been shopping at Big Al's since I was a kid and I remember him being good friends with a franchise owner in either Mississauga or Scarborough, occasionally inviting him over for dinner, so he knows at least some of the store's basic merchandising systems. Overall, the employee of the Kitchener Big Al's was a liar and the owner Anthony was no help. My dad has been a customer for 10+ years, and never has he, nor I, have seen such disrespectful service at nostalgically personal store.
