Patagonia Men's R1® Air Full-Zip Fleece Hoody

I bought the R1 Air full zip hoody as a mid-layer on cold windy days skiing, where I could use the hoody inside my helmet for extra warmth. I tested this when skiing in a high-altitude wind and snowstorm at Breckenridge this week and it works beautifully. It is flexible and warm but not bulky. I bought an XL instead of L because of other reviews, and for me the XL seems to have been a good choice for a little more generous fit.

Great quality and breathability. I would definitely recommend this, and will certainly be keeping my eyes open for if/when they ever go on sale.

Breathable, warm and comfortable base layer. They do run a little small so I would consider going up a size depending on how you are built. The hood fits me well and I like the design. Front pocket should be made bigger but other than that the R1 Air is a winner all around.

I love this hoodie. I was concerned that it may be fragile or shed fibers but it is very durable. Functionally, the hoodie is very breathable, lite weight, and a great mid layer when you are working hard. The hoodie is also great when you are relaxing.
