Ms Stormshadow Parka

Ms Stormshadow Parka

One of our warmest parkas, the hooded Stormshadow Parka is waterproof and insulated with 700-fill-power 100% Recycled Down (a blend of duck and goose down and waterfowl feathers reclaimed from down products). The adjustable hood, cinchable waist and brushed tricot-lined pockets add warmth and comfort. Phone pockets inside the handwarmer pockets and a zippered chest pocket that’s accessed without unzipping the parka also help conserve heat. Built from premium 100% recycled GORE-TEX ePE face fabric, which is partially made from BIONIC® recycled coastal and marine plastic sourced in Costa Rica, the fabric, membrane and DWR finish are made without intentionally added PFAS. Made in a Fair Trade Certified™ factory.

Best parka I have ever used

I have jackets from most major outdoor retailers and others (Arc etc). This is the best for general everyday very cold weather use. Everything about it is fantastic. Pockets, construction, zipper. Perfect. I have more expensive jackets that this is much better than. I have used it for a little over a month so far. Relevant details: - It is very warm. - I purchased the medium at 5.9ft and 145lbs. This leaves room for layering. I am not looking for a slim fit in a winter parka - I have used it in many different scenarios (including biking) and it not issues (too hot to bike far with, of course). -overall it has been amazing and I am selling my Arc jackets.

Modern Marvel

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It is water proof, wind proof, and super warm. It features classic styling, cutting edge design with modern eco friendly materials, and high quality construction. Yeah 900 bucks is a tough pill to swallow, but it is really obvious that this is a premium quality investment. Considering what high quality jackets cost nowadays, this feels like a deal.

Bomber Jacket!

I was a little hesitant about this jacket at first but I wanted a do-it-all jacket for this winter in the northeast, walking the dog, going out to restaurants, walking around town, etc. I ordered it and quickly fell in love. I live near the ocean so it never gets super cold but does end up rainy a fair amount of the time. It's just a great piece to throw on and know it will protect you from anything, no questions asked. The only small improvements I would suggest is to make a thumb gaiter on the sleeve and to extend the collar up a bit so it's easier to tuck your chin in when not wearing the hood. I usually have a buff on underneath which helps protect my chin, but I think those small improvements would make it even better.

Best In Class?

I really wish I could keep this jacket. It really ticks all the boxes when it comes to a casual, comfortable, good looking, WARM, technical and waterproof down jacket. In my opinion there isn't a better Gore-tex Down jacket on the market. The only problem is that I personally found the sleeves to be too short and when reaching out in front of me, the sleeves rose up 2 inches past my wrist. I am so sad because this Nouveau Green is so nice, with the muted logo to match. Stellar job Patagonia, if only I could make my arms shorter...
