One of our warmest parkas, the hooded Stormshadow Parka is waterproof and insulated with 700-fill-power 100% Recycled Down (a blend of duck and goose down and waterfowl feathers reclaimed from down products). The adjustable hood, cinchable waist and brushed tricot-lined pockets add warmth and comfort. Phone pockets inside the handwarmer pockets and a zippered chest pocket that’s accessed without unzipping the parka also help conserve heat. Built from premium 100% recycled GORE-TEX ePE face fabric, which is partially made from BIONIC® recycled coastal and marine plastic sourced in Costa Rica, the fabric, membrane and DWR finish are made without intentionally added PFAS. Warmest jacket I have ever owned

I live in NYC and purchased this jacket in the winter of 2025/2026 because of the brutal wind, snow, cold weather we were having, and it did not disappoint. This jacket is by far the warmest jacket I have ever owned and is worth every penny. As a dog owner with a large breed that needs a lot of exercise, I spend a lot of time outdoors, and this jacket keeps me nice and toasty. I highly recommend!

Best cold weather Jacket

I live within 100 miles of the Arctic I wear the storm shadow every day at -27F I wear the jacket and t shirt no layering . Bottom line this jacket is worth the money . Ps I am not one to leave reviews

Great

Very warm. Very comfortable. Not the least bit heavy or noisy. Good size and location for hand pockets. All around great jacket. Only thought for Patagonia is to consider hand pocket insulation in the outer wall of the pocket to keep your hands warmer.

Fantastic parka!

This is Patagonia’s best parka. It performs and fits as advertised. It is warm in the Canadian winter, and wind- and waterproof which is great for stormy conditions. Maybe the next version could be slightly longer and have extended hood flaps? I’ll rate it 9. 5/10!

The best piece of clothing I have ever owned!

Bought this online without ever seeing it in person. The reviews online do not give it enough praise although it has a 5 star rating! Unbelievably light in weight and super warm. Had the opportunity to test it in single digit windchills in Northern Virginia this week and I was warm and cozy. I would buy one for my wife if you made one in Women’s sizes. The best piece of clothing I have ever owned!
