It's softer than I thought. I'm not sure if I should have bought extra firm. I believe it's too late for 100 day trial. But quality is good

Overall, we're very happy with this mattress. It's hard to know which firmness to order when you're not able to test the mattress out beforehand, but after much deliberation we finally decided the on firm mattress since we've slept on firm mattress from other brands and appreciate the level of support. The Serenade firm however is HARD. There is absolutely no give. After two nights, there was no way we could make it to the require 30 nights to make the swap to the medium firmness, so we purchased a 2"" latex topper. This gave the top layer of the bed the give it needed to allow us to sleep comfortably. With this additional, we've been able to create a very comfortably firm mattress for ourselves. However, this was an extra cost on top of an already expensive bed. That said, it's apparent the mattress is extremely high quality and well-made which we absolutely appreciate! Also, there was no off-gassing needed. It only had a slight wool-like smell for the first few day which we didn't mind at all. The only other thing to note is that the king size mattress is HEAVY. We live in a ranch, so this didn't present too much an issue for us, but if it needs to go up stairs, this would definitely be something to take into consideration. All that said, we're hoping this mattress will last us for many years to come!
