SoloCam S340

This camera is EITHER smart OR "solo", not both, and you must choose which one during setup. The marketing materials are misleading, this is a Solo Cam, which means it will connect to wifi rather than the homebase, however, unlike the Floodlight E340, you can't connect to wifi AND get the homebase 3 AI features at the same time. In order to get the homebase AI featuers, you MUST connect directly to the homebase, which leaves your range around 50 feet from the homebase itself. If you have an outdoor or extended wireless network, you can connect to wifi, but you CANNOT get the enhanced AI features. That's why you have to pick one or the other. You must be close to the homebase to get the enhanced AI features, OR you can be in an extended area connected to wifi, but you CANNOT get the enhanced AI features with this setup. Just be aware, it's one or the other, despite what the description/marketing materials tell you. This is different than the Floodlight E340, which can do both, so make sure you have the correct use case going into it, as it's more restrictive than other cameras. One additional difference that's not clear in the materials, this doesn't have blind spot detection. It has 360 degree view, but will only detect objects which it's pointed directly at (it will track them, which works well, though). Again, just be aware of the differences, despite looking similar to the spotlight, it won't have out of view motion detection in any way. An object must pass directly in front of the camera's fixed location to be detected and tracked.

I have not been able to sync to wifi. I have checked the password, 2.4, and used the help. I tried calling for assistance but could not reach anyone.

Absolutely frustrated with the eufy Security SoloCam S340! The battery simply refuses to charge, rendering the camera completely useless. To make matters worse, eufy's customer service has been incredibly unhelpful and dismissive of my concerns. They offered generic troubleshooting tips that didn't work and then basically told me it was my problem. Save yourself the headache and avoid this product at all costs.

Terrible first experience. Eufy threw in a vacuum I didn't want or need as a free gift....and then when I needed to return the cameras, I had to pay $60 in shipping to also return the free vacuum or they wouldn't process my return. Terrible

I was hoping the motion detection range would be longer and more sensitive. Picture Quality is average. It is advertised on Amazon as having 8X zoom. I can't find that option, I only find 3X. You can stretch the picture with your fingers but there is no actual 8X selection that I could find. I mounted it under the eve of the house but the camera sets too flat. I had to put a wedge under the mount because the up tilt or up pan will not go far enough. When you zoom to 3X it just looks at the ground at a distance. Gotta have a wedge mounting at 8 feet high. I changed the video to 4K which helped but the motion sensor sucks. I have it maxed out and a UPS driver made a delivery.... The camera recorded nothing!!!! The sensor is set to detect everything except ALL OTHER. It will pick up my wife's car entering the driveway but records nothing when she leaves. The range of the motion sensor also is terrible. Actually I wish I had not bought the camera. VERY UNHAPPY. I have 8 other EUFY cameras and the home base that I'm happy with but this one was a mistake.
