SoloCam S340

Been pretty content with all of the Eufy products we�ve had, and this one is generally in that same category.Image looks great, battery has lasted through the night, and it generally gets the job done.However, one of the main reasons I got one of these is because of the dual lens system. Conceptually, this combined with AI tracking would be a massive breakthrough since the camera should be able to track detected subjects in the frame while offering both a wide angle and telephoto/zoomed in view of said subject. The big problem is, there�s a pretty significant limitation on how far up the unit can physically move the cameras which results in a lot of useless images from the telephoto/zoomed in camera view (see attached example). Might help if there was a way to tilt the whole unit up, but it may not be feasible.Outside of the issue of being able to move the camera angle high enough, it does a pretty good job of tracking things that are on the bottom half of the frame i.e. on my lawn and driveway. For reference, the unit is mounted 10ft up.The other smaller issue is with the tracking. Sometimes, it does really well. Other times, it doesn�t catch the subject early on enough or it doesn�t start recording early enough, so you miss the front end of a subject entering the frame. This issue isn�t as significant to me as the limited range of motion upward for viewing angles though.

The brightness of the S340 solocam is insufficient

was sold as a camera that could pickup license plates with 3x zoom but optical camera is aimed too far down to actually pickup anything further away. you have to place this camera extremely high for optical camera to capture anything.

Top of the line and expressive cameras. Expect more. Motion alerts needs work.

I tested the camera weekly at the beginning of summer when our home has a minimum of 6 hours of direct sunlight the battery at highest consumption was already at 50 percent. We lower3f the usage and it dropped to less than 30. We dropped to lower battery consumption where it finally started to go up by 2 or 3 percent. But on anybslight increase in traffic unless we disconnect and charge indoors. We are now constantly with an outdoor camera. Our prior cam at least would last 2 -3 months on a medium use. We asked for a usb c option but Eufy says they do not have this option.
