Impressive camera
I have five other of these type security cameras around the property with three of them solar powered. Also have older wired network camera system that is on its last breath. This Eufy camera is to replace the main camera from that older system. It is older technology with fixed focus and direction with network wire (POE).It is an experiment that, so far, is wildly successful. This camera was by far the easiest install of the 12 -15 cameras I've installed here. It was, by far, the easiest to get onto the network. It has the best video of any of the other cameras. It is much quicker to pan and tilt than the others. As a bonus, there are two lenses, just click in the app to swap back and forth from zoom to regular. The app makes adjusting and fine tuning to your tastes a breeze. Again, the easiest I've used.Motion detection uses AI to allow choosing which motion to monitor, Human or Vehicle or "all other motions. " Human and Vehicle work very well, I haven't tested "all other motions." You have the option to turn on AI tracking and the camera will follow the Human or Vehicle as they move. I haven't encountered any problems with false alarms with sensitivity set to 4 of 7. Notification is almost instantaneous of an alert. You can set "preset conditions" for each lens. Otherwise the camera will return to center between viewings.Adjust video and audio to your preferences. Adjust notifications, text or text and thumbnail. I think you have to have cloud storage to receive thumbnail. The camera includes 7.1 GB local storage. Alerts are stored in local storage and easily accessed via the App. There is a "record" button in the App to record live events in local storage.Log in to the website on a computer to see a live view (it is really a great picture.) It is necessary to enable web portal access on the app before viewing on another device. To access alerts via the internet cloud storage is available for about $3 per month or $30 per year. I am considering that option to see the larger picture alerts on my computer. Not sure it is necessary with the speed and ease of seeing events in the app.The only problem I've encountered was that in zoom mode, the picture was too low. I tilted the mount upward about 1/8 inch and set preferred view in zoom, the problem was solved. One potential problem for me is my location is not in direct sun, I may have to move the solar charger about 15 feet but so far, it hasn't been a problem and we haven't had much sun lately.Bottom, good camera, easy to set up, easy to use.
