NordicTrack X24 Review

I’ve been using this bike to keep me in cardio shape at home and I can use this whenever my schedule allows. I have been resistance training in the gym for over 5 years but decided to diversify my fitness journey to improve my cardiovascular function. This is a great tool to help you do that. It has an adjustable incline and resistance on the fly. It comes with free classes and the membership is purchased separately. The ride-alongs are fun and help you get motivated. It is a fun toy and looks good in your home. With that being said I do not have any complaints with the functionality of this equipment but I do with the build quality. This bike is made up of many modular components that you have to assemble but several of them are plastic. The bottle holders and weight holders are cheap plastic trays. Many of the metal parts are protected by a plastic cover. The TV/touchscreen feels like it is from the early 2000’s and the same to be said about the speakers. When you apply pressure to the top handles you can move the screen rock the screen back and forth like it is not even bolted in. They need to have tighter build tolerances on the upper portion of this equipment. A bushing or sleeve that fits around one of the pipe pieces may fix this. All the structural pieces are metal but they should have made the whole machine metal for Nordics top-of-the-line. This is an incentivized review.

Overall Pleased

I replaced my 5-YO bike with the X24. Overall, I'm happy w/the size of screen, the increased intuitiveness of the SmartAdjust & I can now ride while watching a move (apps). Some things I don't like are the plastic pedals (everything is made of cheaper materials now), the noise of the fan (much noisier than older model) & the handlebar buttons feels cheap like they will fail before too long (older buttons were more solid).

Solid build, iFit is the cherry on top

Not new to NordicTrack, but this is my first spin bike. Setup was easy. I was up and running in under 30 minutes. The tablet is as responsive as my smartphone screen. Workouts load within 3-5 seconds on my wifi 5G network. Not a fan of the seat , so I bought an aftermarket one. Some may find it ok. Fan is loud at its highest setting, but the air movement makes up for it ( I've also got the new x16 elliptical and its fan speed is much quieter on Level 3). I use earbuds so I don't even notice it. Speakers are of good quality. Overall it is a fine piece of kit.

Less than mediocre customer service

My new X24 bike started making a lot of noise after six uses. I think the back wheel is out of alignment and when I try to get service it shows you how to fix it yourself. I don’t really want to fix a brand new exercise bike I just bought myself. All their computer technology makes it impossible to talk to a real person that can help. I’ve spent hours attempting to get help.

Unfortunately, I have not had

Unfortunately, I have not had a good experience to date. It is impossible to upload my apps, even after spending hours with technical support and changing the screen. I had to replace the seat post, power switch and a few other parts for it to stop creaking when I pedal. On a positive note, the video training experience is excellent, as is the service to replace all the parts.
