My 11 pound Chihuahua was diagnosed with a heart murmur and the cardiologist instructed me to put her on a low sodium diet. He included Open Farm on the list of companies/foods that I should check into. I loved that it was so easy to find the sodium content on a dry matter basis on theOpen Farm website. I had my dog on a prescription diet for wet and dry food for a very short time and it gave her great stomach distress. She had never encountered that before with any food I had given her in the six months that I had had her since I adopted her. I started putting Kind Earth dry and also a turkey pate later very slowly mixed in with her old food. The soft poop she was having became firm and well formed and no stomach distress. She licks the bowl long after she has consumed the food. I love this food for her, and it appears my little pup does too. Her vet will be happy and her cardiologist will be happy that I found nutritional low sodium food for her, I am happy, and most importantly, my pup is once again happy.

My poor pup has struggled with allergies/food sensitivities his whole life. He has been on a hydrolyzed protein vegetarian prescription diet for 5 years now and I have tried seemingly everything to try to get him off of it. This Kind Earth Plant Based food is the one thing I have found that doesn’t upset his stomach! I’m so excited to get him off of the expensive prescription food and give him something that he LOVES! Will definitely be recommending this to others whose dogs have similar stomach sensitivities!

This appears to be a good, high quality kibble, and my dog loved the taste, She was happy to eat it, gobbled down every last piece. Unfortunately, she suffers from horrible allergies, food and environmental, something in this did not agree with her. She immediately went into a scratching, butt scooting, tail chewing frenzy and her coat had the all too well known off putting smell that comes with an allergic reaction. I had to stop feeding it to her, back to gross vet prescribed hydrolyzed protein which is garbage but the only food that doesn’t antagonize her. I had high hopes since there are no animal proteins for her to breakdown, but no luck. I suspect it’s the oatmeal which is a main ingredient.
