It might have been the weather, it might have been the other passengers, or even the fantastic views we experienced. But somehow those alone did not make the trip as truly exceptional as it was. The Quark Expedition team lead by Laurie were part of this great adventure. Each and everyone of her team were always helping out on the excursions and providing their learned knowledge. And they showed they loved what they were doing and it rubbed off on us. The Diamond Queen was equally 5 Star with the food and Service they provided. Well don Quark

Absolutely amazing trip led by outstanding professionals. The ship’s crew were totally professional in every respect. Captain Oleg in particular is worthy of special note. His leadership was totally evident with the professional of his crew. I also valued his personal touch and approachability. I would specifically like to acknowledge Erick, Andrea, Akai, and Paolo from the dining room staff. They took amazing care of us and went well beyond what might be expected by staff in that position. The Quark staff were also consummate professionals. Whether it was during their highly interesting and professional lectures, guiding us in zodiac cruises or short parties, or their knowledge and help while we were ashore, they were truly amazing. Their knowledge, their passion, and their interest to share their expertise was absolutely first class. In the earlier evaluation I provided, I specifically cited Laurie for all aspects of her professionalism. I would like to get in and mention without standing expedition leader she was. Two members that I particularly thought stood out were Jean and Erin. In summary, I had had no previous experience on either a cruise-type ship or on an expedition like this, and I was totally blown away.
