Quark Expeditions

I had a wonderful trip to Antartica. The level of knowledge and expertise of the staff was excellent .

Quark and Antarctica both exceeded my expectations in just about every way, and my expectations were pretty high. The Ocean Diamond is in top shape, and the crew keeps it spotless. Meals were varied, delicious, and at dinnertime, the wine flowed most generously. Wildlife: one day our Zodiac pilot put us into position to attract the attention of humpback whales, and they came on over for a very close look at us humans. Penguins in person, maybe a thousand in one spot, offer a spectacle of intriguing, often crazy and cute behaviors. They do smell better on TV. Leopard seals, crab eater seals, fur seals, schooling and breaching penguins, icebergs that photos cannot do justice to... all in abundance on this trip. Before the trip I was hesitant about the cold, but I was never uncomfortably cold, even at speed in the Zodiac. Quark's tech parka and the best insulated boots I've ever used made sure everyone stayed toasty warm.

Thank you for a perfect trip Quark staff and crew! Solan an cluding paddleboarding were very enjoyable and informative). Food was great and crew was very friendly.Weather was perfect and the scenery and wildlife breathtaking. I couldn't ask for anything more.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Quark Antarctic Expedition. The scenery, wildlife, birds, staff, were beyond words; from our pick-up at the Punta Arenas, Chile airport, to our dock at Ushuaia, Argentina. Hadleigh, our expedition leader, always directed the Captain of the Sea Adventurer to beautiful bays, with no wind, sunny skies, and wonders beyond compare. We went on 100% of our zodiac cruise/docks because of Hadleigh's work. My daughter couldn't wait to see the penguins. Did she see penguins!! Baly's Head, one stop, had over 100,000 penguins in one location. I enjoyed all, as did she, - whales, penguins, seals, scenery, birds. On our expedition, Nigel, the ornithologist, saw an Emperor Penguin for the first time! He was so excited. We can't thank Quark enough for thinking of every little detail. THANK YOU!!!

Qaurk did a fantastic job of organizing the entire expedition from the pre-sail days in Buenos Aires to the sailing and excursions. The trip was fantastic, the crew exceptional and the food beyond my expectations.Even the Drake was cooperating. I would recommend Quark to anyone interested in an fabulous Antarctic expedition.
