Quark Expeditions

In a phrase, going to Antartica with Quark was "simply amazing". Antartica is gorgeous and the team at Quark made it possible for us to enjoy every bit of it with their impeccable planning and attention to every detail. While the fly and cruise had its share of anxiety with the weather playing spoilsport in the first two days, all was forgotten when we reached Antartica. A highly recommended trip for anyone interested in exploring the beauty of the seventh continent.

Tendency to get motion sickness made me chose Antarctic express to avoid the Drake Crossing so that I can visit Antarctica the 7th continent. Quark was very professional and excellent in both managing and providing 5 star services despite the weather initially delayed our flight departure for 2 days. I still got motion sickness when the ocean swirls were a bit challenging (apparently they are considered mild for Antarctica peninsula). Highly recommended

From the moment we stepped onto the Ocean Adventurer, we could tell that Quark had us taken care of and we felt like that all the way through until the end of our voyage. From the bonds we made with both our shipmates AND our guides, to the incredible experiences both on and off the ship, we are already trying to figure out when and how we can explore the Arctic (not something we had ever considered before) with Quark. Describing one's experience in Antarctica is nearly impossible, but suffice it to say we will be recommending Quark (and already have to many people over the past few weeks) to everyone we know so that they have the opportunity to go on such an incredible trip as well. Thank you to the best expedition leader ever, Solen, and the amazing crew who made our experience in Antarctica truly unforgettable.

Amazing expedition staff found us spectacular wildlife - everything I was looking for including special Arctic birds - and did a wonderful job educating us as to the ecology, geology, and history of this unique region. The trip leader in particular showed great judgment and instincts in adjusting our itinerary in response to weather and wildlife viewing to ensure we got the most out of our voyage. Really comfortable ship - not too small, definitely not too big - and wonderful food made this the perfect platform to experience the High Arctic. Paddling the inflatable kayaks amidst the crackling ice was very memorable. The team's attention to safety also stood out, as this is a very remote and potentially dangerous locale.

It was a fantastic trip. The expertise of the staff and the quality of the crew was incredible. We had a a trip of a life time. Thank you
