The Sapphire power is your choice if you plan to buy. The data connection was good to excellent the full five weeks we traveled in France. By foot, car, train or boat the connection was as good as my cell phone or better. As a bonus the power option was amazing. As a test I let my phone drain to 45% power. Plugged in the Sapphire and in two hours the phone was fully charged all the while providing cellular data to permit using google maps to get around. The Sapphire had enough power left to do that three or four more times.

It worked perfectly, Very compact and if you are on a road trip, it can be a life saver if your kids need wifi entertainment. I might even use this on the cruise and save some money
