Getaway

Great communication, cabins are so cute and comfortable, and campground is peaceful. Wonderful star viewing. A bit pricey but good for a glamping splurge.

We loved our stay at Piney Woods! It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We were right next to another cabin and folks were staying there, but the cabins are so well insulated that we couldn't hear anything from them when we were inside. The AC worked great (which obvi is a must in the Texas heat), and although the cabin was small, it felt very open. I especially LOVED the giant picture window! I need one for my house someday! There is a little walking trail through the back loop of the property, and another one that seems to run parallel to the main road. The trail by the main road probably could have used some maintenance or more distinctive markings for people who aren't used to hiking. That being said, our dog LOVED the little hike we did, and we even saw some deer in the trees. All in all, it was 100% worth the price and I would definitely go back!

My son and I had a great time at our Getaway cabin! The communication with the Getaway staff was great and we had no issues! It was so nice to have a break from the hustle and noise of the day-to-day. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Getaway House between two very long solo driving days between eastern Pennsylvania and central Texas and I can’t think of a better way to both relax and prepare for another day on the road. I drive long distances often and will always try to find a Getaway House rather than a hotel from now on.
