My 2nd grader has been enjoying the Targeted Practice papers. The spelling words are slightly more challenging than other "2nd grade" spelling programs we have tried. My son likes the fun stories with examples of the spelling rules. My only suggestion is that it would be nice to see the "Tricky!" explanation of the spelling rule at the beginning when the words are being introduced, rather than at the end of the papers.

It is a bit difficult to implement this in since school doesn't quite match. I do not want to make my child confused or irritated. However what she has learned has been wonderful!

This game was a lot of money for very little bang. It doesn’t really teach or give a method of teaching but is OK as a support for an emerging reader. I frankly was disappointed because I was expecting something that would help teach my grandson to read. We would have to play this game every day several times a day for him to learn anything from it that he doesn’t already know. I am a teacher, so I am very adept at using tools to teach reading. This one is limited.

Mom is not much of a reader and having trouble with teaching it. Jackson doesn't understand he needs the basics first, he just wants to start reading! I, Gramma, will go visit next week to see if I can help. I can probably give a better review after working with it myself.
