Used to be better.
I have been an avid collector of Eaglemoss’ Star Trek starship models for years. The detail and quality of the product is great, although I do think that calling them die-cast models is a bit misleading. Die-casting is used in some of the model but plastic makes up the rest and any quality issues I’ve had were on the plastic portion. That being said, I’ve only encountered 2 quality issues with over 20 of their models, and both were handled quickly and efficiently by the Eaglemoss customer service team. And here is where my “used to be better” title comes in. Since the pandemic, Eaglemoss’ customer service has really tanked. Difficulty with reaching an agent, vague explanations regarding shipping delays, and a general sense of apathy in resolving issues that I have never experienced with them before. I realize the pandemic hit employers hard, but when a company is internet-only their team needs to make a better effort to effectively communicate with customers.
I love the product, and I will no doubt continue to add to my collection. I’ll just have to hope the Eaglemoss will return to its old ways and be patient until it does.
