TOOB Civil War plastic soldiers
I believe you said you were terminating these items, which is too bad, because they are really fairly high quality and cheap figurines. It is all about the Confederate flag. Now, even though that flag may have been appropriated by prejudiced people in recent times, that should not undermine or eliminate its role as a fact of history. To falsify history by eliminating its existence is unacceptable. My son had to make a Civil War diorama for eighth grade and wanted as part of it the banners of both sides. To achieve this, since the set came with both sides holding Union flags to avoid the repudiated Confederate one, he painted the Confederate flag over the banners held by the Confederate flag bearers, so he could achieve historical accuracy. This does not mean that he supports the Confederacy; far from it. When my second cousin asked if he wanted a cadet membership in the Sons of Confederate Veterans, he said, "No. I support the Union!" Anyway, this excessive political correctness over this point is a little ridiculous. Maybe one need not sell separate Confederate flags, but they ought to be included in historical representations.
