Eastern Jungle Gym

Recently built a playset for our kids 11 and 3 years old. Ordered parts from several places and EJG were top notch. One shipment was small but indicated it would be shipped “less than truckload” which is an indication of freight which can take more than a few days. Needed these finishing touch pieces by the weekend so we could finish over the holiday. Wrote an inquiry email and got a response from Mark Honigsberg. He understood the problem and pulled a replacement order and shipped it UPS as soon as he got the email. The parts arrived at 7pm Friday evening and we were able to finish the playset during the time we had help over the Memorial Holiday. Thank you EJG and big thank you to Mark!!

These parts are a great option for people looking to build an easy, affordable and sturdy swing set. The steel brackets are heavy duty, it comes with quality hardware, chains, and swings. I opted to buy additional hardware to double the size and add a tire swing. It took only a few hours to assemble the set. To save money, I opted to use 4x6 and 4x4 treated pine instead of the cedar that was suggested. I have no doubt this will last throughout my kids' childhoods. There are a few things worth mentioning. Because of the way the brackets are, if you use treated material you will need to chamfer the corners and possibly shave or sand down the sides a little bit. I used an electric hand planer and it worked perfectly.

I purchased two of the end pieces. I used them to make a great semi-mobile engine hoist. Once I put it all together it was sturdy and I have been easily able to pull my engine out of my truck. Better than a cherry picker.
