My first purchase from Team Cycles was a great experience from start-to-finish. Looking for a substantial winter training top with more weather resistance than a thermal jersey I spotted a great price on the Rapha Core Winter Jacket in Navy Blue. I'd describe it as a hybrid jersey/jacket and, being familiar with Rapha sizing from a Brevet LSJ, I didn't size-up. Receiving a welcome handshake discount from Team Cycles was a nice introductory bonus. Kept informed by dispatch emails, the recent heavy snowfall delayed the courier by a day - perfectly understandable. I've put 10 hours into the jacket over 3 rides and it's doing exactly what I'd hoped on days starting at 1C and finishing at 3-4C. Worn over a basic polyprop base, it's coping with extremes of steady base rides or hill repeats, plus fast freewheeling descents, blocking the worst of the wind chill and shrugging off sleet and snow showers, without the need to add a gilet or shell. In summary, the jacket is a well designed, high quality addition to the wardrobe and the retail experience was first-rate.
