Garmin Instinct Sunburst
The Garmin Instinct is a fantastic piece of technology! Its rugged look coupled with the whimsy of the citrusy yellow lends it both a preppy and smart-casual vibe. What first impressed me was the battery life on this! It came out of the box charged with just three bars (out of a total of five). I didn't bother charging it, and exactly a week later, it went down to two bars! This, of course, was on smart watch mode which I'm using it for, no GPS tracking involved.
My only complaint about this purchase isn't the product per se, but Garmin's lackluster implementation of advanced sleep monitoring. Despite wearing the watch 24/7, it fails to record my sleep accurately 20% of the time, unlike my previous Fitbit. And on the occasion it gets it right, there was not enough breakdown of data to give a good overview. Also, it's disappointing that it can only record one sleep activity per day so your afternoon naps won't be taken into account! This is a software issue that I'm hoping Garmin will fix in time. That aside, I would recommend this over the more expensive smartwatches that demands constant charging.
