Bought primarily for ski touring
Bought primarily for ski touring and hiking (would for cycling but black/borealis is not ideal IMO), used on 2 occasions and so far very good. The perfect packing/stuff size (it is light) but also heat retention and breathability (of course air temperature and terrain dictate overall kit choice for the day). We reside in mountains of southern BC so things are typically up!!! Plus, I run hot so keeping the arms free to breathe is key. I do own other insulated vests but with climate change, I will typically get toasty on ascents unless there is a deep freeze! Giving a 5 star but hummed a 4. . . . . as personally I think a couple of pockets (without zippers to preserve weight/packability) would be a great asset. With touring there is often toques on/off, buff on/off, something always going on so a quick place to stuff is handy - just MO. Still a winner, the Rab kit is definitely increasing in size!!!
