I love the generator alpine. I work at a ski resort and do ski lift maintenance. For my job I have to climb towers in the winter at 12k feet at 6 am. With wind chill, the temperature can feel like -20 on really cold days. I went with synthetic, because its high output work. Despite the cold I sometimes sweat. Which would compromise down. I also use this jacket for backcountry skiing. If i'm standing around on a really cold morning. This jacket is fantastic for someone doing high output work, in cold environments.
