Love the brand
The communication from the brand was awesome, purchase experience was great. I really wanted to love these bindings, I ride with Nidecker boots and love them, but I could not love these bindings. I ride Snowbird Utah about 50 days a season. These bindings are great concept. IMHO,
the FLOW design is a disaster, the connected straps causes all sorts of issues with fit and heel lift. I have owned every flow bindings and sold them all.
the heel in the back leg would never lock in place, I had to keep tightening the top strap to the point that I couldn't feel my foot, this was the same issue with flow, ice dams under the heel.
Once you tighten the straps down getting out is very hard, I guess you'll have to loosen the strap.
Way to many moving plastic parts, I don't see these bindings lasting more than a season. I would not want these in the back country.
Getting in is super easy and it is achievable on the chair lift as well, which makes it very attractive. the bindings are stiff and responsive. The weight was not a major issue for me, but I started to feel it without the foot rest after couple of chairs.
I think this design can be a hit, if they get away from the FLOW design and adhere to more of the GNU psych design. move towards more aluminum and less moving parts. the release lever fix seems simple to me to bring up to the back of the binding via a strap with pull function. I would volunteer to help with design and testing,I am qualified as a design engineer.
