This is a great sword case for your standard size katana. Inside of the case features a styrofoam like material covered in yellow silk with cutouts starting with the Tsuka,Tsuba leading down to the Saya which for my sword leaves a bit extra length at the Kojiri end for a slightly larger sword. There is also a perfect size cut out for your standard cleaning kit and a ribbon like strap on the inside of the lid to store cleaning cloths or whatnot. I carefully placed my sword in the case without the Saya for demonstration purposes but do not recommend storing your sword without the Saya if you have a real and razor sharp katana like mine. I actually sheath my sword, place it in a silk sword bag then into the case. It's a very nice case with three hook locks and a leather carrying handle. A case like this was hard to find and sword armory was sold out but thankfully I signed up for a email alert when it came back in stock. It was well packaged and a excellent price.
