Never going back
I had been suffering from insomnia for several months due to having a stressful, sedentary job. My LifeSpan treadmill cured 90% of it in just a few days.
Even though I walk at 0.4 MPH, which is very slow, my legs are getting stronger. Walking causes continual motion of the neck, back, the whole spine, hips and knees. So all of those parts are getting a much needed (gentle) wokout. Some days I'm walking on it 1 hour, some days 3.5 hours. Either way, I feel more relaxed at the end of the day and sleep much better.
It's very easy to read and type while walking slowly. I found the key was to raise the height of my screen, keyboard and mouse to make up for the 5" height of the treadmill. Good ergonomics are still necessary. It's also important to hold my head steady while walking, like a model. It comes naturally after a few minutes.
I feel secure and comfortable on my LifeSpan treadmill. Like so many other customers, I''m sure that I'm never going back to a sitting desk.
