I finally bought an SUP and I love my Aisle!!!
I love my Aisle SUP. Mine took it’s maiden voyage with me on it today. It’s a weekend game changer. I had been staring at the creek behind my house for YEARS thinking “someday I gotta go SUPing on the creek.” Took me way too many years to finally do it, but I finally did. My new nextdoor neighbor bought an Aisle SUP within a week of moving in (he didn’t waste any time). After I told him I’d been thinking of getting one forever but didn’t know which kind to get, he let me try his Aisle SUP. I loved it :))
The next day, I ordered my own. Same kind as his. It finally arrived after 3 weeks and its the best. Easy to blow up with the aisle motor I bought with it. Rock hard. Not too tippy and at 57 I can carry it alone. My life got pretty sweet today when I blew up the SUP and launched it myself. (My husband stood by hoping to get a good laugh if I fell in, which I didn’t :))))) ha! ) . I had a glorious 2 hr paddle on this beautiful October Sunday and managed to stay completely dry. :)) What a Great day!!
P.s. I plan to keep it blown up in my garage for now. But the motor does have a reverse setting that makes it look like it would be easy to deflate. Then I could roll it up and store it back in the back pack it came in (which is the size of a large duffle bag and looks very well made).
P.p.s. I got the 10.5 ft board. It’s the super versatile one. Slightly wider than the other they had. Says it can hold two people or a dog. I believe it. I’ve seen people do that on these boards. In fact, I’ve seen my neighbor ride his sitting in a lawn chair on the board, on the water, with beer in hand, and while fishing.. I think I’d fall in if I tried that. He’s a super athlete and young. I’m very stiff, over weight and out of shape. We have the same style board though. We both love it.
And it goes without saying that I’m not gonna stay out of shape for long!
My rec: don’t waste any more time thinking about getting an SUP board. Just do it. It Is so fun. Plus it’ll give you a whole new appreciation for where You live. And it’s covid friendly.
I’m thinking of getting a second one so I can get my family and friends out there with me.
One last thing, if you get the motor like I did to blow it up, it plugs into your car charger thingy, so you can take your board anywhere.
See you on the h2o.
