I purchased a previous model (PE330) of this monitor from this company, and it worked perfectly for about six or seven years. But I went swimming and forgot to remove the pedometer, and it drowned. I called the company to ask about replacing with the same model, and the very helpful staff person told me it was discontinued and this newer model would be my best choice. So I ordered it and received it promptly. However, I’m a little disappointed in this new model. It does count steps accurately but the mechanism is much flimsier, so it only works well when suspended from my belt. The older pedometer worked in a pocket, attached to a shoelace or dress hem, or suspended from my belt. Sorry the new model isn’t as good as the old (and it’s slightly more expensive), but it’s still a good basic pedometer and the company is a good company to do business with.
