This is a great all-in-one kit and comes with the batteries to power up each item. You can probably independently source the items and maybe even improve the quality for less money, but the convenience factor of being all-in-one box worked well for us. We ordered 1 deluxe and 1 with a little less in the box and we feel covered in case of power outage for a few days.
